Daniele Carnevali

Managing Partner, PlusValue · CTO, Si4

I build what I advise on, applying finance, engineering and operations to the infrastructure that proves its impact.

Law, finance, engineering. Most people are told to choose one. I never did. I work where they meet, and build for what remains after the deal closes.

I tend to see the pattern before the consensus forms, and I’d rather hold the whole problem than resolve it by picking a lane.

What I do

My work is to originate and structure place-based social and energy infrastructure end-to-end, as the single accountable partner from investment thesis through blended-finance structuring to delivery. It is polymath work: I hold the legal, financial, engineering and operational sides of a deal together rather than handing them off, and as CTO I build the technology myself. I do this at PlusValue, an integrated impact-advisory firm, and at Si4, the Social Infrastructure Impact Investment Index, where I co-conceived and co-designed an AI-powered platform that quantifies the correlation between the ex-ante social impact and the financial return of an infrastructure investment, so capital can price impact before it is deployed.

The conviction underneath the work is simple: “impact deserves the same financial rigour as any other asset class, and the infrastructure a place needs, from housing and healthcare to education and energy, should be built to outlast the deal that funds it.”
